My Dad bought a new laptop which came with Windows Vista. My girlfriend did the same. Vista has given more headaches than any other Windows version.
Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1 doesn’t work on Vista when you print. I had to install Foxit and Firefox plugin to get it to work. My Dad isn’t having a problem with Acrobat Reader on his Vista machine though.
Act! 2008 upgrade for one laptop was required. He had been running Act! 2000 for years but that version won’t install on Vista. But, now 2008 version is not compatible with Blackberry software synching. The workaround is to synch Act with Outlook and then synch your Blackberry with Outlook.
I don’t recommend Vista at this time. If you are getting a new computer ask for XP for now.
