My girlfriend asked a few days ago if I was not going to play with her anymore since I got my new iPod Nano. Of course I put it away.

But I was having a blast with it. One of the things in my life that really excite me is finding the perfect tool for me. My goal list had on it a digital music player. I’ve had one for a while now but never really like the design as it was hard to use. When the second generation of the iPod Nano came out I had to have it. It finally had all the features that I wanted. It was perfect for me. Then I had to find the money to buy it. I always fund my toys from income that one of companies I manage makes. I just needed a couple of real estate deals to close and take a small percentage out for the iPod Nano. That was my intention to have two real estate deals to close. With in a couple of weeks the real estate deals closed.

When you tie productivity to your fun goals you create a system that feeds itself. If you want something that others may consider frivolous but you really want it then tie it to production. Then when you use the object you can have good feelings that business generated it and that it isn’t frivolous. When ever I use my iPod Nano I feel prosperous. I had it engraved with the saying “The purpose of life is to be happy.” Due what you love and the money will follow and have rewards that are tied to production so you don’t get into the keeping up with the Jones mentality which I’ve seen in many people and leads to becoming broke. You also don’t want to not spend any money on rewards because that leads to poverty consciousness and being almost broke and unhappy.

So go get what you want and get make it happen. But don’t forget about your significant other.
