Good point Kris. Always be working on yourself.

If people don't communicate with you it's hard to guess what to work on yourself.

Christopher,
I have generally also had little patience and tolerance for no response people. If I ever did find out why they didn't reply, it's generally because they are overwhelmed with emails (or voice mails) and don't really know how to prioritize and manage their time. So they either ignore their 200+ emails/day or skim through them only answering those they deem high priority. If my subject line doesn't grab them or I don't make myself known, I might get lost in the shuffle. Besides having difficulty prioritizing, some people are just plain unorganized and should probably not be in business, unless they have others to help them in their weaker areas. I also follow the three time follow up program. I try to be patient with these types of folks, but hey, we're all super busy, so let go and leave the space open for those who have the same responsive values as I do.
thanks,
Andrea

Christopher,

Looks like you are finger pointing everywhere except where it's needed the most: at yourself.

How are you coming across to 'others?'

What's your message?

I could go on and on...you know the drill.

People are people and we can't change them. Work on your own skills; it's all you can really do anyway.

I'm in the service industry and anytime there's a 'failure to communicate' I put the responsibility right where it should be placed: squarely on my OWN shoulders.
