Podcasting is a new idea. Think time shifted radio and anybody can do it and get the idea. Apple came out with iTunes 4.9 a month ago and podcasting has really taken off. The new iTunes 4.9 handles podcasts very nicely.
There are many shows available via podcasting. With any new technology there are tons of podcast shows and many will not make it. Many people are doing the shows for free but that will change as the genre matures.
