Armorware is the most complete computer security and privacy system out there today. I first saw Armourware in February 2005. I met the technical people behind it and asked them several very technical questions and they have a solid program. If you are serious about your computer security and privacy then you need Armourware today.

Are you making these 7 common mistakes that let hackers, snoopers and big brother see everything you do on your computer?

Colossal Mistake #1: Typing Without Protection against keyloggers

Colossal Mistake #2: Using “Band-Aid” Antivirus Software

Colossal Mistake #3: Using unprotected e-mail

Colossal Mistake #4: Surfing the Internet normally – everything you visit on the Internet can be traced back to you

Colossal Mistake #5: Letting the horses run free – trojan horses that is

Colossal Mistake #6: Loose (paper) slips sink ships – files aren’t encrypted

Colossal Mistake #7: You didn’t shred and now you’re dead – files when deleted are still recoverable

Armorware turns any (reasonably modern) PC computer in the world into a completely secure workstation with encrypted communications capability in less than 3 minutes, requires no installation or configuration and leaves absolutely no trace of your activities after shutdown.

Best of all, it protects you 100% against every one of the 7 threats you have learned about, as well as many others. It is the only program on the market that does this while meeting or beating every single security guideline recommended in this report.

They have had the most skilled hackers we could find beat their heads against their keyboards for 3 days straight trying to break the security on Armorware and not one of them managed to so much as dent it. In fact, 4 of the hackers they initially asked to do the test refused to even try because they felt that it was pointless.

To stand behind these claims, Armorware comes with a 10x your money back guarantee that will pay you if your computer privacy ever gets compromised by a Trojan horse, virus, worm, or keylogger while using Armorware as directed. No one else in the computer security industry offers anything close to this kind of assurance and so far, no client has ever had to be paid.

Big Brother knows what you are printing.

Imagine that every time you printed a document, it automatically included a secret code that could be used to identify the printer – and potentially, the person who used it. Sounds like something from an episode of “Alias,” right?

Unfortunately, the scenario isn’t fictional. In a purported effort to identify counterfeiters, the US government has succeeded in persuading some color laser printer manufacturers to encode each page with identifying information. That means that without your knowledge or consent, an act you assume is private could become public. A communication tool you’re using in everyday life could become a tool for government surveillance. And what’s worse, there are no laws to prevent abuse.

Yet there are no laws to stop the Secret Service from using printer codes to secretly trace the origin of non-currency documents; only the privacy policy of your printer manufacturer currently protects you (if indeed such a policy exists). And no law regulates what sort of documents the Secret Service or any other domestic or foreign government agency is permitted to request for identification, not to mention how such a forensics tool could be developed and implemented in printers in the first place.

With no laws on the books, there’s nothing to stop the privacy violations this technology enables. For this reason, EFF is gathering information about what printers are revealing and how – a necessary precursor to any legal challenge or new legislation to protect your privacy.

Google Launches Personal History Feature – Yahoo! News
Google Inc. is experimenting with a new feature that enables the users of its online search engine to see all of their past search requests and results, creating a computer peephole that could prove as embarrassing as it is helpful.

Activating Google’s “My Search History” service, unveiled Wednesday afternoon at http://labs.google.com, requires users to create a personal login with a password. Users of Google’s e-mail, discussion groups and answer services can simply use their existing log-ins.

The service allows users to decide if they want Google to automatically recognize them without having to log in each time they use the same computer. Those who prefer to log in on each visit can use a link that will appear in the right-hand corner of Google’s home page.

Whenever a user is logged in, Google will provide a detailed look at all their past search activity. The service also includes a “pause” feature that prevents it from being displayed in the index.

Users will be able to pinpoint a search conducted on a particular day, using a calendar that’s displayed on the history page. The service sometimes will point out a past search result related to a new search request.

Google is hoping the service becomes so valuable that people will use its search engine even more frequently than they already do, giving the company more opportunities to display text-based ads that boost its profits.

“We think there is some value in providing people with visibility into their past activity on Google,” said Marissa Mayer, the company’s director of consumer Web products.

But privacy rights expert Pam Dixon is worried the service will make it easier for mischief makers, snoops and perhaps even the government to get their hands on a user’s entire search history.

“It’s really a bad idea,” said Dixon, executive director of the World Privacy Forum. “If you need to keep track of your past searches, I recommend using a notebook. It would be a lot more private and a lot less risky.”

The company behind those floating ads that dance across Web pages has developed a way to restore the data profiles that many privacy-conscious users try to delete from their computers.

Using the product, when a Web site discovers a cookie missing, it can look for a backup in Flash and restore the cookie.

Richard M. Smith, a privacy and security consultant in Cambridge, Mass., was critical of United Virtualities.

“Companies should respect people’s choices,” he said, “If a consumer makes the effort of getting antispyware software, they don’t want this stuff.”

Macromedia responded by issuing instructions for turning the profile system off: http://www.macromedia.com/go/52697ee8.

America Online, Inc. has quietly updated the terms of service for its AIM instant messaging application, making several changes that is sure to raise the hackles of Internet privacy advocates.

The revamped terms of service, which apply only to users who downloaded the free AIM software on or after Feb. 5, 2004, gives AOL the right to “reproduce, display, perform, distribute, adapt and promote” all content distributed across the chat network by users.

“You waive any right to privacy. You waive any right to inspect or approve uses of the content or to be compensated for any such uses,” according to the AIM terms-of-service.

Although the user will retain ownership of the content passed through the AIM network, the terms give AOL ownership of “all right, title and interest in any compilation, collective work or other derivative work created by AOL using or incorporating this [user] content.

“In addition, by posting content on an AIM Product, you grant AOL, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, agents and licensees the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right to reproduce, display, perform, distribute, adapt and promote this content in any medium,” it added.

Anonymizes your web browsing by obscuring the location of your computer and Internet IP address.

Encrypts your Internet activities, protecting your browsing from local network eavesdroppers (coworkers, neighbors, bosses, ISPs, oppressive governments).

Prevents tracking and logging of your browsing activity by your ISP.

Easy to use application auto-configures Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox to send traffic through the Tunneler.

Ultra high bandwidth European proxies provides incredibly fast browsing (sometimes faster than your direct connection!)

Fully functional HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SOCKS v5 proxies available for any of your Internet applications that support proxies.

Gives you a whopping 1 Gigabyte of encrypted, anonymized bandwidth per month. Additional bandwidth is available at competitive rates. (To tell you the truth we haven?t implemented bandwidth monitoring yet, so if you get a Tunneler now you?ve got unlimited bandwidth until we do!)

Car dealerships make up a duplicate key from the VIN number, collect payment from the ‘customer’ who’s really a would-be car thief for making up the duplicate key — the car thief goes back to your vehicle, inserts the key they’ve just gotten and off they drive with your car or truck.
They don’t have to break in, don’t have to damage the vehicle and draw no attention to themselves as all they have to do is to walk up to your car, insert the key and off they go to their chop shop with your vehicle!!!

Can you believe it?

To avoid this from happening to you, simply put opaque tape (like a strip of electrical tape, duct tape or medical tape) across the VIN label located on the dash board. You can’t remove the VIN number legally under most state laws, so cover it so that it can’t be viewed through the windshield by a car thief.

When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the “For” line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes thru all the check processing channels won’t have access to it.

Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks (DUH!)– you can add it if it is necessary. But if you have it printed, anyone can get it.

Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine, do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel.

Keep the photocopy in a safe place. I also carry a photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We’ve all heard horror stories about fraud that’s committed on us in stealing a name, address, Social Security number, credit cards, etc. Unfortunately I, an attorney, have first hand knowledge because my wallet was stolen last month. Within a week, the thieves) ordered an expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had a credit line approved to buy a Gateway computer, received a PIN number from DMV to change my driving record information online, and more. But here’s some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens to you or someone you know:

We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Always keep those where you can find them easily.

In addition, file a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where it was stolen, this proves to credit providers you were diligent, and is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one).

But here’s what is perhaps most important: (I never even thought to do this). Call the three national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a Fraud Alert on your name and Social Security number.

I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over the Internet in my name. The Fraud Alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit.
