Business was going really well, innocent had been going about a year and a half, but then our bottle supplier called us up and said ‘You know you ordered a 100,000 bottles a week? We can only give you 20,000 for the next few weeks.’ We don’t stockpile because everything is produced fresh. We asked what they meant and they said ‘We’ve got a big customer who wants clear bottles now.’ We protested by reminding them that we’d been working with them for ages and we’d given them our forecasts but their reply was: ‘Sorry, the machine’s full you can’t have it.

I’m grateful for my life.  When seeing a movie like Slumdog Millionaire I easily see how much I have to be grateful for.  And it’s not money.  It’s the quality of my life.  My easy and happy childhood.  When I grew up in Alaska we didn’t have door inside, we had sheets stapled up.  The walls were unfinished.  Instead we enjoyed the outdoors.  Now I have doors and I enjoy my life.  It’s been a journey to get here but nothing like Jamal in the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

I think India is great.  It’s the largest democracy in the world.  And some of the greatest contrast.  And it reminds me of America.  We have a similar background.  Kicking the English out, extreme poverty, large democracy.  America is a bit older in our democracy and doesn’t have nearly has much poverty anymore.  India is not far behind because it is growing so fast.  The Internet has changed the amount of time to progress.

I am stuck unemployed overdebted and have lost my passion.  I have been looking for purpose and passion and still looking.  I require a little push and guidance to get going

I think it is good that you are looking for help.  I know I did when I was down.  And it helped a lot.  And now looking back I notice that I was the most important part.  I finally choose to be who I wanted.  My suggestions are to focus on what you want.  Don’t watch the news at all, get rid of media.  Listen to happy audiobooks every day (someone you really like, like Anthony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, etc.), over and over.  Program yourself for success.  Keep at it.  Make it a habit.  I constantly do this because I don’t want the effects to disappear.

Setup a debt repayment plan and then don’t think about it.  Just let the plan work while you focus on prosperity.

I wrote Prosperity Games out of what I learned to feel passion for my businesses.  I wrote it for me.  I’ve been like this person (except for debt, never did that) and have had no passion.  Everything else is minor but your passion is everything.  With passion you can do anything.  That is why I know that basing your business idea on what you love is required.  Hence the book.

I was depressed and didn’t know what to do with my life.  I started listening to Zig Ziglar, reading business books (most of which are not good) and striving for prosperity.  I started having success when I started to focus on what my passion is and I’ve added on to that ever since.

How can that be?  Easy.  Spending more than you make.  I saw an entire group of financial advisors living very well and then after one particular investment went under they all were instantly broke.  They took out enough to pay for their lifestyle but when the investment tanked they instantly couldn’t pay for their mortgage, car payments and lifestyle.  They were homeless in a month.

So the only thing that matters is your net profit.  Nothing but net.  Only thing that counts.

I think people that make less money but actually invest (diversified) and save money and look at their net profit are much more business savvy than people that make tons but spend it all.

That is why the people that blog about their toys and such really don’t thrill me at all.  I’ve seen so many people that do that and found out later that they were spending everything and a lot of the time on credit to look good for marketing purposes but are broke and up to their eyeballs in debt.

I know quite a few stories but can’t recount them here because they are people I know very very well and I don’t want to embarrass them.  You would be surprised even shocked and their business would tank.

Bottom line, don’t look up to people and expect them to be perfect.  Look at your bottom line.  Look at your net profit.  What is working for you?  Don’t over spend but also don’t be cheap.  Money attracts money.  Spending money attracts people spending money.  But going broke attracts somethings you don’t want.

Today is a most unusual day. if you embrace the Gregorian calendar, like we do in the Western World. Today is the 8th of August, 2008. We indicated it with 8/8/8 and the multiple 8s mean some interesting things to many people.

The number EIGHT. In many cultures celebrated as a symbol of “infinity.”

For the Chinese, the number 8 holds a special significance. They believe that it means good fortune coming or prosperity. In Hong Kong some who would pay extra to have the number 8 on their license plates, and telephone numbers. They believe in luck in China — a lot. So, today is a particularly “lucky” day for many Chinese.

Home Exchanging

Nan and I had a home exchange in Virginia Beach in a huge mansion that had everything. The steam room was my favorite. We have three more home exchanges planned thru August including New Mexico and parts of France. Here is a photo of the mansion from the beach.

Being a Warrior

A day after getting back from Virginia Beach I was off to Austin for the first Warrior Event. I have a bunch of tips I learned and lots of photos. It was a blast. I had a great time. I sold some books and some websites while I was there. Here I am with Pat O’Bryan and Craig Perrine.

Celebrating My Birthday

My birthday was Saturday. My lovely planned a wonderful long weekend, including staying in the hotel that we first had our first date, couple massages, party at a fantastic restaurant including the best service I have ever received from RC (like the cola). Thanks RC. And thanks my love Nan. You were fantastic. I had one of the best times in my life.

New Products

I’ve launched Expert Web Creation Videos. Videos on how to create a website like mine at AbundanceUnlimited.com. I don’t hold back on these videos. I’ve been on the Internet since 1989 and having been creating websites since 1995. I’ll take you thru start to finish using free software. We also provide help if you get stuck or simply don’t want to do it yourself.

I also released for free a WordPress plugin that lets you add html code to your website footer. A footer on a website is where you typically have your copyright notice. You no longer have to update the footer template manually which is helpful for theme updates and switching themes. We created it to help our clients update their themes faster. Very handy.

If you have ever read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, you may remember the discussion of the abundance vs. the scarcity mindset. I haven’t read it in a while so I am paraphrasing here. But the gist of it is, if you have a scarcity mindset, your view of the world tells you that opportunity is limited and that you need to compete with others in order to achieve success. If you have an abundance mindset, your view tells you that there are plenty of opportunities available to you, so it will not hurt you to help others along the way.
