]]> thesecretonhoteltv 1 The Secret on Hotel TVLast week when I was in Miami my girlfriend and I sat down to watch a movie over dinner. We find “The Secret” on the Hotel TV system available to rent.

This movie amazes me. I saw it when it first was available. It was so moving it made me speechless. My girlfriend thought something was wrong with me. And how they are marketing the movie years later is so amazing. I mean it’s on a hotel pay per view system. I also saw a engagement calendar for it at the bookstore last week.

The information in the movie is so powerful and the movie is so well made that it is just bursting out and spreading around the world in ways that surprise me.

Lesson in marketing: with the right product there is unlimited ways to market it. There are unlimited avenues to get your message out. Partnering

the secret.thumbnail The Secret is now in HebrewI was in Northern Scotland in July in a small bookstore at Findhorn and there was “The Secret” displayed. I was amazed that the book had spanned the English speaking world even in the far reaches of Scotland.

Well now “The Secret” book is in Hebrew and coming in many other languages.

]]> Marci Shimoff from the movie “The Secret” just released a new book.

The expression “pursuit of happiness” was coined by Dr. Samuel Johnson in his 1759 novel Rasselas. For such an old phrase, it’s about time that someone wrote a book to tell us just how to do that. Marci Shimoff, best known for her Chicken Soup for the Soul series books and her recent appearance in the movie The Secret, seems highly qualified and up to the task. Shimoff along with co-author Carol Kline has just released her new book Happy for No Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out. The book is full of practical exercises, real life stories and new insights into the science of happiness. Shimoff spent years doing research, in depth interviews and developing and perfecting strategies to create happiness. According to Shimoff, we all have a “happiness set point” that is approximately 50% genetic and 50% learned. She believes it is possible to reprogram our happiness set point to higher levels of peace and well being.
